Join our yearly celebration of Hispanic Heritage month! From September 15 to October 15, CPL hosts educational events, live performances, craft workshops and bilingual events to share Hispanic culture with all of Chicago.
We kick off our celebration with a pair of opening programs on Saturday, September 17 at Albany Park Branch. Start your day off at 11 a.m. with the dulcet tones of Jesse Tapia and His Windsome Quintet, then join storyteller Jasmin Cardenas at 1 p.m. for Cuentos from the Americas.

- Explore the musical sound of Cuba and Puerto Rico with Panorama: Latino America.
- Meet new friends and test your Spanish language skills.
- Hear the Chicago Latino experience in Lecturas II, a live reading of prose and poetry curated by Luis Mejico and presented by Chicago-area artists.
- Learn about the Mexican celebration of Day of the Dead and craft your own sugar skull ofrenda.

Celebrate Hispanic Art
