Celebrate diversity during Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month in May with a variety of programs and events that highlight the contributions of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in visual and performing arts.
Our keynote program at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 14 at Chinatown Branch features performances by local musician Kerry Leung presenting selections from Chinese traditions, members of the Bharatam Academy of Dance Arts presenting Bharatanatyam, a classical Indian dance, and students from the Oakton Community College Mongolian Club presenting a variety of disciplines.
Visit CPL locations throughout Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month for events for all ages, including book discussions, lectures, film screenings, art exhibits, story times, workshops and more. Highlights include:
